Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born in Canada and is best known to Canadians for her role as an Canadian actress on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. She also appeared in Venevision Telenovelas Cosita linda e Voltea to whom you are love. As a dancer and model Toubia has also had great success in both of these fields. She was born in Montreal and has resided in Texas since childhood, and always had a blast dancing. At a very young age she was learned a range of styles. In her teens, she took part in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia became famous for her participation in Nuestra Belleza Latina, the Univision pageant series. She began acting in 2010 in a role as a receptionist in the Telemundo episode. Her debut film was the action-drama Tattooed Love in 2015. Toubia was nominated in recognition of her Shadowhunters performance, received nominations from Teen Choice Awards 2017-2018 for Choice TV Actress Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
